Biking the Beartooth Highway

Sorry I don't have pictures for this, but Mike spent Saturday morning biking up the beartooth highway. He started at 9:00 a.m. in Red Lodge, and passed the summit and headed downhill for a total of 40 miles in four hours. He finished at Top of the World which is a convenience store. It was windy and cold, but he did very well and from the support truck, it didn't even look difficult. Chris and I had a good time acting as support. We did a little hike at Lake Fork Road. We didn't make it all the way to the lake, but the creek we walked by lent itself to good story telling and make believe. Thank goodness we didn't run into any bears! Oh, Chris had lunch in Montana while I ate lunch in Wyoming! That was a lot of fun!

Heart and Sole Run, June 2008

Emily, Chris and I ran the Heart and Sole Run benefitting St. Vincent Children's Foundation. It was my first 5k. I was really nervous. It was a nice downhill start, but at 3/4 mile it was a steep uphill that just about did me in. I finished in 37:37 which I'm really proud of. Emily stuck with Chris. He tuckered out at 1/4 mile and they walked the whole thing in about 45 minutes. Race number 2 for the summer was good.

Montana Women's Run

Participation was mandatory for the Wilcox girls. This was the first of three races for the Summer of 2008! It was a 2 mile race the Saturday before Mother's Day. Chris and dad acted as support, and we girls took off running. Mary finished first, Mom second, and Ann and Emily came in together! Chris took the after pictures, thus his finger is included. We had a great time.

Spring Break

For Spring Break we went to Bridger Bowl Montana. The kids learned to ski, Chris learned to board. Mike and I refreshed our memories and took back to skiing like a duck to water! We had such a good time. Three days of skiing was great for us!

Trying

I've spent the summer looking at blogs of family and friends and linking to their friends and I'm impressed with what I see. I'm still trying to figure out how to post pictures, but I've downloaded Picasa software from Google and I think it is going to be so much easier. So, I'm still planning to post pictures of our adventures, but it is going to take even longer than I thought. Hmm. . . May to September? I think it'll be November before I get it done.
